Position Overview
We are looking to add a new DevOps Specialist to be part of a small and dynamic team comprising Developers, Testers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and more! As a DevOps Specialist working within the team, you will also aim to assist customers with troubleshooting issues and automating their environments.
Responsibilities
• Developing automated scripts and processes to deploy products that the team develops
• Automating deployments and monitoring for internal and external customer-facing environments
• Drive and promote DevOps practices within the team
• Educating customers on DevOps practices and helping them adopt new approaches to operate software in an Azure environment and on-prem data centers
• Collaborating with other members of the development team to identify additional opportunities for automation and monitoring
• Promoting tools and frameworks to speed up and simplify the software development process
• 24x7 support for the customer’s environment on a weekly rotation basis with team members
• Triage incident tickets and investigate and resolve issues
• Re-direct incident tickets to appropriate resources as required
• Communicating/troubleshooting incidents with clients
Qualifications
• At least 2 years of proven DevOps experience in Azure, .NET, and Web app stacks
• Over 2 years of proven experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub to automate builds, deployments, test executions and security reviews
• Over 2 years of experience working directly with customers
• A solid understanding of cloud environments (preferably Azure), cloud networking, and security best practices to operate cloud-native software (including OWASP and other standards)
• A Solid knowledge of automating performance and functional test executions
• MS SQL Server knowledge is required
• Capable of effectively and efficiently learning
• A passion for technical excellence
• Self-motivated, an individual that can complete tasks under minimal supervision
• The ability to work under pressure
• Exceptional interpersonal & collaborative skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Comfortable performing component demonstration in front of key business holders, PMs, and clients
- MS Azure Cloud technologies experience is a plus
• BizTalk Administration knowledge is a plus
