Position Overview
Calian delivers technology-enabled solutions and professional services that help organizations manage complex programs, improve operational outcomes, and support the people they serve. Our Project Managers play a central role in ensuring client-facing engagements are delivered with discipline, clarity, and a strong focus on quality. We are seeking an experienced, intermediate-level Project Manager to support digital health and patient support program (PSP) initiatives. This role owns projects end-to-end, manages multiple concurrent client engagements, and works closely with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders from initiation through close.
Responsibilities
• Lead the full project lifecycle for external, client-facing projects, from kickoff through delivery and closeout
• Create, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment to scope, timelines, budget, and client expectations
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing work based on project complexity and client needs
• Facilitate client and internal meetings, including kickoffs, status updates, and issue resolution discussions
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and managing expectations
• Monitor project performance, including budget, scope, timelines, and resource utilization, and proactively communicate risks and variances
• Coordinate cross-functional teams such as developers, business analysts, and product resources to ensure successful delivery
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and billing milestones using established tools and processes
• Adapt delivery approaches based on project size, complexity, and stakeholder environment
• Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the role
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on project management experience, managing projects independently from initiation to close
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing project plans (Microsoft Project preferred, but not required)
• Strong understanding of core project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
• Proven experience managing external, client-facing projects (internal-only project experience is not sufficient)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing projects in technology-enabled services, professional services, or consulting environments
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience leading agile projects
• Experience in healthcare, digital health, interoperability, systems integration, patient support programs, or regulated environments is a strong asset
• PMP certification and/or post-secondary education preferred but not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated
Additional Requirements
• Ability to work remotely from anywhere in Canada
• Flexibility to work East Coast business hours, regardless of location
• Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
Compensation
$90,000 – $110,000
