Position Overview
The Inbound Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of materials, components, and products entering Calian GNSS facilities. This role exists to conduct inspections, manage the Material Review Board (MRB) area, support supplier quality processes, and contribute to ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 14001 compliance. The position supports both shopfloor operations and corporate management systems by identifying, documenting, and resolving quality issues at the earliest possible stage.
Responsibilities
The Inbound Quality Technician:

Performs incoming inspections on standard and special products, ensuring conformance to specifications and regulatory requirements.

Organizes and manages the MRB area, documenting and segregating non-conforming materials.

Supports corrective actions implementation, including supplier corrective actions follow-up and monitoring.

Conducts supplier evaluation and monitoring activities in coordination with the quality and procurement teams.

Executes ICQ 8 process audits and contributes to QMS/EMS internal audits (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001).

Provides shopfloor support for quality-related issues, collaborating with operations and OPEX teams to resolve problems.

Performs and tracks measurement equipment calibration to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Participates in operational risk management activities for changes, new processes, and environmental aspects/impacts.

Updates and maintains chemical inventory records as part of environmental compliance.

Prepares inspection data, audit findings, and reports for management review.

Other duties as required within the scope of inbound quality and supplier quality assurance.
Qualifications

College diploma or technical degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, or related field.

3+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in inbound/supplier quality or electronics manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 14001 standards.

Hands-on experience with incoming inspections, MRB management, and supplier quality processes.

Familiarity with core quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, FAIR).

Proficiency in measurement equipment calibration and inspection techniques.

Good communication and collaboration skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.

Nice to have: SAP or ERP experience, Lean/continuous improvement training, knowledge of environmental compliance requirements

$56,000 - $62,000
