Position Overview

Calian is looking for two talented Talent Acquisition Specialists to join our collaborative TA team. You will manage full-cycle recruiting for corporate roles across Canada, partnering with hiring managers and HRBPs to attract and hire top talent while ensuring a smooth, positive candidate experience.

One role is permanent full-time, and the other is a 12-month contract with benefits. Our team currently has 4 TAs and 2 senior specialists, working closely together to deliver results and continuously improve our processes. This is a busy, high-impact team where your skills and initiative will be valued.

We are seeking candidates who are independent, resourceful, and action-oriented, ready to contribute to a strong, results-driven team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for corporate roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HRBPs to confirm role requirements and create accurate job postings.
  • Coordinate interviews, reference checks, and background checks while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring or hard-to-fill roles.
  • Represent Calian at career fairs, virtual events, and through social media to promote our employer brand.
  • Collaborate closely with the TA team, sharing strengths, supporting each other, and delivering results efficiently.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and make recruiting smarter and faster.
  • Step in to support team initiatives and provide coverage as needed, helping the team maintain momentum.

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or corporate recruiter (experience hiring only from a manager perspective is not sufficient).
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Strong interviewing, assessment, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with ATS and recruitment tools, including social media sourcing.
  • Independent, resourceful, and collaborative, with a professional and positive presence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Compensation

$70,000 – $73,000
