Junior Python Developer

On-site | Ottawa, ON | 1-Year Contract 

Position Overview 

Python developer supporting engineering test system development team.  The candidate will be required to update existing test system platforms as well as provide a key role in new test system initiatives.     

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, implement test cases, and log test results 

• Develop test software in Windows, using Python, for electronic sub-assemblies. 

• Assisting in troubleshooting problems in a software production environment 

• Understand the system under test 

Qualifications 

Education  

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline 

Experience 

• 3 or more years of experience as a Python Software Developer 

• Experience with C, C++, C# would be an asset  

• Experience in process automation and automated testing of electronic sub-assemblies 

• Experience with control interfaces for test and measurement equipment.   

• Experience building robust operator interfaces 

• Troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team
