Position Overview 

 

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering student (2nd year+) to join our manufacturing engineering team. This role focuses on designing and developing fixtures that support efficient and accurate manufacturing processes. You will work closely with senior engineers and production teams to create practical solutions that improve assembly, testing, and quality control. 

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Design and model manufacturing fixtures using CAD tools (SolidWorks).  

  • Prepare clear, complete engineering drawings that meet industry and company standards.  

  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to understand process requirements and constraints. 

  • Perform basic design calculations and tolerance analysis for fixture components. 

  • Support prototype builds and assist in fixture validation on the manufacturing floor. 

  • Document designs and maintain revision control. 

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program (2nd year or higher). 

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. 

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).  

  • Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings. 

  • Exposure to 3D printing 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Exposure to CNC machining. 

  • Knowledge of fixture design concepts and ergonomics. 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Basic shop skills
