Network Administrator

Position Overview

We are looking for a Network Infrastructure Administrator to join our Infrastructure Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Calian’s network infrastructure systems, including enterprise Wi-Fi, firewall, routing, switching, policy enforcement, and automation across site, data center, and cloud environments. You will leverage your expertise in Fortinet and Zscaler technologies to ensure secure, high-performance connectivity across internet and private networks.

Working closely with Calian IT and business unit development teams, you will manage secure network connectivity, optimize firewall and SD-WAN configurations, maintain high availability and disaster recovery capabilities, and support the continuous improvement of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-focused, and skilled at identifying and resolving complex network issues to ensure stability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and coverage across all environments.

• Administer and optimize Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, security policies, and FortiManager configurations.

• Administer and support Zscaler cloud security services for secure internet and private connectivity.

• Design and enforce enterprise-wide network policies, including firewall rules, access controls, and compliance standards.

• Monitor and optimize network performance, capacity, and security across hybrid environments.

• Implement and maintain network redundancy and disaster recovery solutions.

• Integrate and support on-premises and cloud-based network services in Azure and AWS environments.

• Implement network automation and monitoring tools, including FortiManager and SNMP-based solutions.

• Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security best practices and compliance requirements.

• Troubleshoot network issues within Fortinet environments, including firewall rules, VPNs, and wireless connectivity, quickly identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to maintain network stability and performance.

• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 3+ years of experience with enterprise networking, including routing, switching, and firewalls.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.

• Experience supporting Zscaler cloud security services.

• Strong understanding of network security, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and the OSI model.

• Experience with cloud networking in Azure and AWS environments and hybrid connectivity solutions.

• Experience using FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized policy management and log analysis.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network challenges.

Compensation

$80,000 to $100,00
