The Calian Nuclear team provides a comprehensive range of services covering the entire nuclear lifecycle. This includes Safety Analysis, Licensing, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Protection, Decommissioning, Waste management, and cutting-edge Systems Engineering and Robotics.

 

Position Overview

Our Nuclear Analyst Interns will play a key technical role in the performance of various projects within the Calian Nuclear team. These Analysts Interns will support technical projects in the core areas of the group which include:

  • Nuclear Safety Analysis and Licensing
  • Environmental Protection and Impact Assessments
  • Decommissioning and Waste Management
  • Emergency Preparedness and Training
  • Systems Engineering and Robotics
  • Project Management
  • Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

The Nuclear Analyst Intern will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all project deliverables are developed and maintained in accordance with quality requirements
  • Perform and support scientific and technical project work for Calian Nuclear’s clients
  • Support the development of high-quality technical reports and documents
  • Act as a resource to the teams’ Senior Manager or Director in support of developing business opportunities and proposals
  • Provide support to Project Managers as required to ensure all project deliverables are developed and maintained in accordance with the Calian Nuclear Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Participate, as part of a project team, in conducting technical analyses
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a University Degree program within an Engineering discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and proficiency in writing technical documents
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think independently and provide insight and solutions to complex problems
  • Team player, able to adapt quickly and work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Must be eligible for a Reliability-level Government Security Clearance
  • Eligibility to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is an asset
