Overview

As a key member of the Purchasing Team, you will have varying levels of involvement in all of our projects. You will have the opportunity to get exposure to sourcing various complex components and materials for the manufacturing floor. You will have a broad reach across the organization as it supports a variety of purchasing requirements.

You will have a high-level knowledge of the current supply chain, including issues and restrictions. The ideal candidate will be a persistent self-starter with excellent relationship building, strong decision-making skills and impressive attention to detail. 

Responsibilities

• You will prepare quotations, review project demands, bids, source materials, and prepare commercial analysis for various telecommunications projects
• You will be responsible for negotiating the finer details of the purchase orders, as well as negotiating the cost and schedule impact of purchase change orders
• You will build relationships with suppliers and industry representatives, while learning about new products and awarding future business
• You will be one of the main points of contact for the Project Management Office and Marketing team while coordinating the costing efforts for various proposals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• PMAC diploma or designation is an asset
• Experience in SAP is considered an asset
• Proven ability to establish strategic sourcing and supplier relationships
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
• You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
