Position Overview

Calian Advanced Technologies is looking for a Technologist to join our manufacturing team. You will conduct prescribed tests, develop, and evaluate engineering and manufacturing documentation, improve shop floor efficiency, and direct problem resolution.
 

We are looking for people who are interested in working with a team to solve interesting and complex problems. Diversity of perspective is valued and is a key aspect of our success. This position will be working in-person, out of our beautiful custom built building at 18 Innovation Blvd location in Saskatoon, SK.
 

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests following prescribed test procedures on Calian projects
• Troubleshoot (to the component level) then document any problems that arise during test
• Ensure the defective components are repaired correctly and repairs are carried out efficiently and in observance of Calian’s standards and project requirements
• Assist engineering and senior personnel in the assembly and test of prototypes, engineering development models, and test fixtures

Qualifications

• Electronic Systems Engineering Technology or related program

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well in a team environment to meet quality and scheduling commitments
• Able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to completion despite interruptions
